I am pleased to report that all is well and still thriving at family-owned Taj of Marin at 909 Fourth St. in the heart of San Rafael, contrary to my incorrect report last week that the new Bombay Grill at 1444 Fourth St. had replaced it.
Since 2009, the beloved Taj of Marin, owned by Avtar Dhanda and his wife Kulbir “Kelly” Kaur, has tempted diners with a full a la carte menu featuring northern and southern Indian cuisine, including many vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. An extensive buffet offers 35 to 40 items and is open for lunch daily ($10.95) and for dinner Fridays through Sundays ($16.95). See live music with Brian Wallace playing his sarode Thursday and Saturday nights.
